After reviewing the information on our project and host sites for the year, interested candidates need to complete a two-step application process:
Step 1: Create an application through the My AmeriCorps Portal and submit it to a position with our project. Read more about AmeriCorps VISTA at
Step 2: Complete a secondary form required for our project: Lake Effect Leader Application

Interview Process
Round 1: Once the application is complete, it will be reviewed by our Project Coordinator and selected applicants will be invited to participate in a 20-30 minute pre-screening interview.

Round 2: After the pre-screening interview, recommended candidates will be invited to participate in a second round of interviews, this time with our host organizations.  Applicants are able to accept interviews with multiple host organizations within our project.  After interviews are complete, host organizations will notify applicants of their decision.
